It’s Travel Thursday!

Long a vacation spot sought after by millions, each of the eight major islands of Hawaii is a destination sure to please.

Ah, just imagine . . . one day in paradise . . . right here in the United States!

My bestie Jacque Jackson, who celebrated her birthday on April 13, is spending her birthday week relaxing and sightseeing in the Hawaiian Islands.

What do you bring into the lives of the people moving within your everyday environment?

Does your mere approach bring doom and gloom – or are you known and loved as the person they can count on to bring the sunshine?

Today, let’s all make a conscious decision to bring the sunshine to everyone we meet.

We’ll keep the negative words and the negative vibes at bay, and focus instead on being a positive force, shining some much-needed light on every person coming within our individual circles of influence.

They’ll enjoy the light – and so will we.

Today’s featured couple, Tom and Alida Sharp, live in Belize. They met in high school when Tom “shoved an Oreo® cookie in her mouth!”

They have been married for almost 33 years.

#103| You Lift Me Up

Many of us chat with our Besties on the regular, whether in person, by telephone call, texts or IM (or all of the above).

Sidebar: If you live close enough to your best friend to see him or her in person, you’re extremely fortunate and I’m jealous. I live in Louisiana and my best friend lives in Ohio.

Any who, Besties are good for lending a listening ear, shoulder to cry on, pint of ice cream, package of Oreos . . .

In other words, your Bestie lifts you up, and you return the favor.

The next time you speak to your best friend, be sure to let them know how much they mean to you and how much you appreciate them.

Jacque, you lift me up! Thanks so much for being you.

Kambrey and Kaelie are first cousins and best friends living in Lafayette, LA. Tammy, their Grandmother, calls them “Bayou Bébés.” We’ll be featuring more photos of Kam and Kae, so stay tuned.
