Live Your Life By Design – Not By Default!

March 31, 2018 By Michelle Matthews-Calloway 1 Comment

Say what? Is life something you can design?

According to our podcast guest, “life is something you either live by design, or by default.”

Well, we certainly don’t believe anyone wants to live their life by simply going through the motions. Who wants to function on autopilot?

Not only do we want to live in the moment, we want to be an active participant in our own lives.

Our podcast guest shows us how.

Design – or Default?

In this episode, Podcast Co-Host Adrienne London Leach chats with bestselling author, speaker, lifestyle and digital strategist Nancy Gathecha.

Nancy is a Kenyan based in Bonn, Germany. When she isn’t traveling, reading or binge-watching Netflix, she helps visionary women design a life of purpose, passion, and profits, so they can enjoy the success they desire.
As a lifestyle designer, Nancy helps her clients live their lives by design – not by default.

Want Good Credit? This Credit Guru Tells You How!

May 9, 2017 By Michelle Matthews-Calloway Leave a Comment

Credit.

Unfortunately for many, credit is an incredible source of stress and worry. Why? Because they’re trapped in a sea of debt.

On the flip side of the coin, good credit – and no debt worries – can be the key to financial freedom.

So, who doesn’t want good credit?

In today’s show, The Swirl World Podcast Co-Host Adrienne London Leach chats with credit guru Angel Fisher.

Angel provides what you need to know to get your credit in tip-top shape.

Enjoy!

If you cannot see the podcast players, click here or here.

Meet Credit Guru Angel Fisher

Angel says, “I am a very proud native Houstonian. I love my city and its diversity. Growing up on the Northeast (Northshore) area side of town, has definitely shaped my life.

I enjoy network marketing and meeting new exciting people. I believe that we should always live our life to the fullest.

Being an entrepreneur has rewarded my family with one of the most valuable things…..Time! Time to be a full-time mom and share lots of interesting things with my two beautiful daughters.

We love to travel with our friends and family. I consider myself a self-starter and a motivator. In my opinion, anything is possible, if we put God first.

If you are interested in rebuilding, restoring, or building new credit, my company Credit Deliverance 911 can help. I can also help you decrease your financial liability. Additionally, educate you with the tools needed to help you with your financial portfolio.

We offer an easy way to remove erroneous items such as: collections, repossessions, evictions, and other items from your credit reports. We also offer positive trade lines.

Let’s get you started on the path to credit success! Connect with me today!”

How I Became A Jet Beauty Of The Week

July 2, 2016 By Michelle Matthews-Calloway Leave a Comment

You ever look in Jet magazine at the gorgeous women named the “Beauty of the Week?”

Women who look like this?

Jet Beauty Of The Week

More important, have you ever wondered how they got there?

I know I certainly have.

Meet This Jet Beauty of the Week!

In this podcast episode, our girl Adrienne London Leach and guest Co-Host Dawn Sanchez chat it up with Keena Simmons.

Keena established the goal of becoming an Ebony/Jet Beauty of the Week – and she accomplished it!

She shares her path to becoming one of the women who grace this iconic feature of the magazine.

Keena says, “One of my greatest achievements was producing a 2015 Calendar titled “Fit and Fabulous at Forty” inspiring women and men to be fit at any age.  I did a small segment on Dr. Oz and was featured in Bermuda’s most read newspaper for my achievements.”

Keena loves to take risks, and her mantra is, “GO FOR IT!”

Very fitting, wouldn’t you say?

Enjoy the conversation!

What Keeps You Going?

May 9, 2016 By Michelle Matthews-Calloway 3 Comments

What Keeps You Going

So, how do you start your day?

Do you begin with prayer or meditation? Read some excerpts from an inspirational book or a daily devotional?

Do you immediate head to the gym and “get your exercise on?” Drink some coffee, tea or a cold beverage?

Do you have to eat breakfast – or are you inclined to skip it?

What Keeps You Going?

So, after you get your day started, what keeps you going?

Do you view your upcoming week with dread – or anticipation?

If your goal is to maintain your drive and even build your momentum, self-motivation is imperative.

Motivation is what gets you started – Habit is what keeps you going.

Keep going!

It’s Time To Maximize Your Mindset!

May 2, 2016 By Michelle Matthews-Calloway Leave a Comment

Maximize Your Mindset

We just wrapped up the Vetting 101 series held weekdays on Facebook Live and Periscope.

Thanks to those of you who tuned in live or caught the replays.

If you missed it, don’t worry – we’re going to provide you the opportunity to obtain the videos, complete with worksheets – so stay tuned!

In the meantime, I’d like to invite you to join me weekdays Monday-Friday for our new series, Maximizing Your Mindset.

Defining Mindset

According to Dictionary.com, mindset is defined as, “A fixed mental attitude or disposition that predetermines a person’s responses to and interpretations of situations. An inclination or a habit.”

Whew!

I know that definition is a lot to swallow, especially when we consider the number of situations we each encounter in a single day.

And yet, our mindset – our “fixed mental attitude” – determines our responses and interpretations of those situations.

Do you believe life is great? Or, do you believe life sucks at worst or is “meh” at best? It’s all in your mindset.

Good or bad, let’s make sure our mindset in order, shall we?

To catch me on Facebook Live, click here.

You can also tune in on Periscope.

A Wonderful World

March 25, 2016 By Michelle Matthews-Calloway Leave a Comment

A Wonderful World

“We live in a wonderful world that is full of beauty, charm and adventure. There is no end to the adventures that we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open.”

~Jawaharlal Nehru, 1st Prime Minister Of India

It’s “Travel Thursday” and we want to inspire you to not just dream about taking a trip or going on vacation this year, but actually do it.

Need some additional inspiration? Click here to listen to a podcast with Dating Coach Lorraine Spencer of Interracial Marriage & Family concerning the importance of traveling.

This year, make sure you have your eyes wide open for opportunities to save money for a trip.

Sure, a new handbag, shoes or jewelry is a great pick-me-up. However, the newness will eventually wear off and those items will become old.

But think about it – the sense of adventure, joys and well-being gained from travel will last forever.

This year, let’s TRAVEL!

How To Make Progress

March 8, 2016 By Michelle Matthews-Calloway Leave a Comment

How To Make Progress

Want to know how to make progress?

Consider the sage words of wisdom from the late, great Shirley Chisholm:

You don’t make progress by standing on the sidelines, whimpering and complaining. You make progress by implementing ideas.

Shirley Chisholm

Whether in life, love, business, personal improvement, spirituality, whatever, making progress involves effort.

It involves putting yourself out there, being willing to get off your seat of do-nothing out of your comfort zone and take risks.

If making progress could be gained by complaining, blaming and pointing fingers I dare say most people would have circled the earth 10 times over.

If we want to accomplish goals and excel, then we’ll have to engage in the same processes legends such as Shirley Chisholm and countless others did.

Get those ideas out of your head, and take action.

Execute.

Implement.

Progress.

Happy International Women’s Day 2016!
