Erotic Multicultural and Multiracial Romance

December 29, 2014 By Michelle Matthews-Calloway Leave a Comment

shareasimage_SexyIRCouple3 So, because I love y’all (and because I simply can’t WAIT two more days until 2015 arrives) I decided to give you a sneak peek into one of our podcast guests for January.

I had a conversation with Sepia, author of multicultural and multiracial erotic romance. Sepia a huge supporter of interracial/multicultural romance erotica.

Being the product of a multicultural marriage she understands that love is not always black and white, but that people need and want love and sometimes that takes them across cultural and racial lines.

Sepia also – wait! More on Sepia’s erotic literature collections in January 2015.

Till then, catch this preview . . .

When A White Man Thinks He’s Golden

October 20, 2014 By Michelle Matthews-Calloway Leave a Comment

All White men are GOLDEN!

Um . . . NOT!

a sad mature woman

Here’s one way you can recognize when a White man thinks he’s golden – and make sure you don’t fall for the okey-doke.

Yours Truly, ever on the lookout to preserve and protect the interests of Black women, decided to share some of my observations on a specific red flag Black women should pay attention to when dating or seeking to build a relationship with a White man.

I think I’m going to call it “The Golden Syndrome.”

Give it a listen, and feel free to leave a message in the comments to let me know what you think.

Have you met a White man who was stricken with “The Golden Syndrome?” Tell me all about it!

You can listen to the episode on Sound Cloud by clicking here.

October 13, 2014 By Michelle Matthews-Calloway 1 Comment

The Swirl World Podcast Co-Host Adrienne London Leach recently enjoyed a wonderful conversation with author, singer and Swirler April Poindexter French.

Come on, people – is April GORGEOUS, or what???

April French p

April possesses a bewitching sultry glow. She’s got it going on – just ask Bryan, her husband of 22 years.

April discusses how she almost missed out on the man of her dreams.

She shares practical advice for Black women on the finer points of interracial dating and marriage.

One of her many pearls of wisdom?

“Close your eyes – and open your heart.”

Looking at this photo of her beautiful family makes me shudder to think what may have happened if she hadn’t followed her own advice!

Thank heavens she did.

“My Parents Tried To Diss The Woman I Love!”

October 3, 2014 By Michelle Matthews-Calloway 2 Comments

Karla and Don2

I must say I thoroughly enjoyed my conversation with Karla and her husband Don, an interracially married military couple (Go Navy!).

Karla and Don at Karla’s promotion to Lieutenant Commander at Naval Space Command in Dahlgren, VA.

Karla and Don at Karla’s promotion to Lieutenant Commander at Naval Space Command in Dahlgren, VA.

They met and married while both were active duty Navy officers.

Karla and Don in their Dinner Dress Whites at a Dining Out in Hawaii hosted by Don’s squadron.

Karla and Don in their Dinner Dress Whites at a Dining Out in Hawaii hosted by Don’s squadron.

Karla is my friend on Facebook (and one of the few people I call “My sister from another Mother”).

She is well-known on interracial blogs, and always adds value and depth to any conversation.

Karla and Don are vibrant, active people who love life and love each other tremendously.

With 20+ years of marriage under their belt, they had so many pearls of sheer wisdom to share with our readers and listeners.

The conversation with them was chock full of golden nuggets, so we broke it into four parts (available on iTunes, Sound Cloud and Stitcher) :

Podcast Episode 032 – Life, Love and Marriage – In the Navy!

Podcast Episode 033 – How To Manage a Long Distance Marriage

Podcast Episode 034 – The 3 Key Ingredients Necessary for Attracting a Quality Mate

And last but certainly not least, Podcast Episode 035 – My Parents Tried To Diss The Woman I Love!

To every Black woman who has been told that a non-Black man won’t stand up for her, LISTEN UP:

That is a LIE.

Don’t believe it.

Don’t fall for the okey-doke.

Men who will stand up for you, defend you – and choose YOU over family and friends DO exist, and Don is living proof of that fact.

Listen as he shares his parents’ reaction to the news he and Karla were getting married.

Better yet, listen to his reaction.

You can listen to “My Parents Tried To Diss The Woman I Love!” on Sound Cloud.

It should go without saying that Karla and Don will definitely be back on the show.

Until then, listen and learn. Woot!

How To Attract a Quality Mate

September 30, 2014 By Michelle Matthews-Calloway Leave a Comment

Is dating interracially “hard?” Where are the “good men” and the “good women?” Why can’t they be found? Why is it so hard to find and attract someone who wants a committed relationship?

If you have questions about attracting a quality mate and enjoying a quality relationship, who better to ask than someone who’s enjoying success in these endeavors?

Meet Karla and Don, who have been married 20+ years.

Karla and Don1

This is Part 3 of my conversation with interracially married military couple Karla and Don as they put to rest the “It’s hard to find a good man/woman” myth.

Karla and Don share two factors essential to experiencing success, and relay the #1 component making all the difference in finding Mr. or Mrs. Right.

The conversation with them was so good it’s actually in four parts. This part dropped so much knowledge I had to skip it up.

You can also listen to this episode on Sound Cloud.

Stay tuned for a full profile on this couple.

If you’re interested in interracial dating and marriage, and you’re not opposed to finding love online or on Facebook, listen with an open mind as JJ and Dani share how they met.

It’s a sweet story, and JJ has some STRONG words for White men who join Facebook groups and act like jerks.

The full interview and so much more – coming up in Season 2!
