Y’all know we love you, right?
Adrienne, Rachel and I love the members of The Swirl World. Celebrating Black women and the diverse men who love us is a privilege.
Our overarching missing is to see Black women live their best life. For that reason, we’re constantly striving to bring you content designed to educate, inspire and entertain you.
That’s why we had to come through with something special for the holiday season!
The Christmas season brings a dual challenge. We’re participating in the holiday while simultaneously preparing for the New Year. Thus, we often don’t take the much-needed time for personal reflection.
No worries – we’ve got you covered!

So, how do you start your day?
Do you begin with prayer or meditation? Read some excerpts from an inspirational book or a daily devotional?
Do you immediate head to the gym and “get your exercise on?” Drink some coffee, tea or a cold beverage?
Do you have to eat breakfast – or are you inclined to skip it?
So, after you get your day started, what keeps you going?
Do you view your upcoming week with dread – or anticipation?
If your goal is to maintain your drive and even build your momentum, self-motivation is imperative.
Today’s featured model is Valencia Campbell, who just successfully completed her first year of law school. She’s well on her way to achieving her dream of becoming a lawyer. Woot!

As the holiday season draws to a close, many of us are slowly easing back into our normal routines. If they haven’t already, family members who live in other cities and states will return this weekend.
Though we may draw physically closer during the holidays, we have the wonderful privilege of keeping our family close – and thus always present – in our hearts.

We’ve shaken off the glitter and confetti, and some even managed to go back to work today.
