So, how do you start your day?
Do you begin with prayer or meditation? Read some excerpts from an inspirational book or a daily devotional?
Do you immediate head to the gym and “get your exercise on?” Drink some coffee, tea or a cold beverage?
Do you have to eat breakfast – or are you inclined to skip it?
What Keeps You Going?
So, after you get your day started, what keeps you going?
Do you view your upcoming week with dread – or anticipation?
If your goal is to maintain your drive and even build your momentum, self-motivation is imperative.
Keep going!

TheSwirlWorld JeffSt It’s a tricky dance. Too much focus on the long range, and you get paralyzed, unable to take the first step, the next hour, day,….. because it all looks too big to handle. Too much focus on the moment, and it’s easy to forget what it’s all about, why we take those small steps. As with lots of other things, we need a balance. The Trick is to find the “sweet spot.”

JeffSt This quote comes to mind:
“A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.”
~Lao Tzu.
Any notable goal begins with what we do in an hour, a day, a week, a month, a year – a lifetime.

To keep going, i set my horizon past a week, bring up a life project: to strive for excellence, both in myself and the world around me. Gotta try and see a little further.
