TheSwirlWorld JeffSt Thought there is a limit to how much you can cut yourself off from your environment, in particular the physical one,. as we are physical entities. But certainly a certain amount of resistance to peer pressure is healthy, and in some situations downright necessary and the right thing to do.

JeffSt I always think about the classic, “As A Man Thinketh,” by James Allen and the Bible verse found in Proverbs 23:7. If your mind is right, everything follows – the positive life, which has you giving off positive vibes. Having a positive mind also keeps a person from being so dependent on (and therefore influenced by) his/her environment. When the “thermometer” is internal, you set the temperature no matter the external situation.

Positive mind. Without it, no way you will pick up on positive vibes, and then a positive life will be very difficult to attain.
