I’ve learned that it’s not what I have in my life but who I have in my life that counts.

Whatever works best for you, Michelle. By the way, i have a brand new photo of myself (taken today, by my neighbor, she’s a photographer) on my computer.
Speaking of sharing, once my story is posted, can i tell people at say BBW about it?

Hey Jeff, I see what you mean about the reply button. I don’t like the lack of a reply button. 🙁
Think I’ll install that plugin after all.
Michelle Matthews-Calloway says
My web master instructed me to uncheck the “nesting” feature on the comments – the limit was 10. I thought of installing a plugin for one of the popular commenting features, but she thinks the WordPress one is fine. I need to go on the front side of the blog and look; I normally comment from the dashboard.
Cool that you’re interacting on other forums. I have the blog & podcast rolls there so that our readers can get a fuller view of what’s out there. I’m very big on sharing and supporting. I used to interact more on some of them, but running this blog and our podcast takes up the bulk of my time.

Hey, what happened here? I guess no more reply buttons, you just post? That’s OK, no biggie.
I’m going by photos i’ve seen at various sites and FB pages, very few of the white guys i see look like me. But then, most me nowadays tend to look mainstream. There have after all been black women who have liked me, even found me attractive. So i suppose it could happen again. Age is a bigger problem. The forum i participate in is one of those on your blogroll, it’s Beyond Black and White. Some really good interactions there. And i’m still likely to join FB, i’m jus concerned with data sharing. (i.e. their sharing of my daw with advertisers).

I’m giving that “tend to like guys who don’t look like me” a MAJOR side eye, because I simply don’t believe it. Sure, everyone has preferences and tastes – I’m short, and some men don’t like short women so they don’t like women who look like me. That doesn’t mean there aren’t some men who DO like/prefer short women – I just need to meet the ones who DO. I keep referring to the Facebook page, but I do that because we have such a large, diverse group of fans over there. With the large diversity comes a range of tastes that is just as diverse and large. There are BW who like your look – you just need to meet them. I guarantee you if we post your photo on the page, you will receive compliments and hellos. I guarantee it.
With that being said, so glad you’re seeing more BW/WM couples! They’re out there and the numbers are rising. Glad you’re finding forums and blogs where you can interact with other Swirlers. Have you checked out our blog roll?? I’ve listed a lot of them over there.

One thing i learned this month: black women who do like white men tend to like guys who don’t look like me. 🙂
Seriously, i i learned that if i keep my eyes open, there are indeed BW.WM couples out there, as well as a kit more BW who are open to being approached by WM than i thought. Being on a certain forum has been very educational. And of course interacting with you, Michelle, has been very informative. Thanks!!
