The Urban Dictionary defines go hard as “doing something to its fullest; doing something well.”
Based on that definition, what do you believe would happen if whatever we did, wherever we went, we did it with all our heart?
What if we didn’t do things or go places as a matter of routine, but in anticipation and expectation?
What if we willingly and wholeheartedly put ourselves into the things we do – into the places we go?
What if we immersed fully into the moment?
What if we decided to go hard – everyday?

Didn’t you see my You Tube link for that last request? I know, it’s not inside the venue, but generally when videos are taken inside they show only the band, not so much the audience. And besides, it is right outside the very venue i go to.
I was a bit under the weather Wed night, still am a bit today. but i wasn’t gonna stay home on a birthday and skip the show. love was in the air. Must be all the couples. :-)Thanks for the good wishes.

Hey, Happy Birthday to you! Spending your birthday doing what you love or being somewhere you love is the best. Don’t forget you’re supposed to give me some YouTube links as examples of the kind of dancing you’re describing. Sounds so cool!

Of course, i have limits, e.g. i wouldn’t go swimming in a river that’s known to be full of crocodiles. That would really require being “immersed in the moment.” 🙂 But it’s nice to push yourself completely out of the routine once in a while.
This is what i like about the weekly music events (an excellent one last night, a nice birthday gift, though i really don’t celebrate my birthday with others (something related to my breakup 24 years ago). these events definitely also get me to be in the moment, at least when i get into the dancing full tilt, the only way to really do it is to be at one with the music, the way the musicians are at the moment, the only way true musical jamming can be done.

Jeff, I like the idea of being “deeply immersed, more than usual,” and what you do to achieve that. Your actions are filled with purpose and intent – which gives me some ideas for future blog posts . . . . IJS! One of the things I plan to do for 2016 is be more intentional – more on that in future posts!

To immerse myself in the moment, i go to one of the many open spaces around the Bay Area, If i wanna be deeply immersed. more than usual, i go to an area i have never been to before, or only been to a couple of times. Forces me to observe what’s around me constantly, so i don’t get lost. and this has to mean being right there.
